So many of us lie in our warm cosy beds on a winter’s morning and moan about having to get up for work or college or to do whatever it is that we do on a daily basis. We burrow beneath the covers; we hit the snooze button and rollover for ‘just five more minutes’; we sometimes decide that being late or ‘pulling a sickie’ is ok and we just stay put in our warm cosy bed; worst of all, we even whinge about it to others saying that ‘I just cannot get out of bed in the morning!’

not only worthwhile for those part of any sporting organisation, but it also breaking barriers. Professional sport serves as the ultimate ambition for all of us with dreams as young boys and girls. Amateur sport by definition carries with it an undeniable beauty and innocence that is lost to the professional game. And then there’s the ‘in-betweeners’. Semi-professional athletes fit the category of total commitment, limited funding. What separates each category, or more importantly can they be brought together.
